The AHI Non-Profit

AHI is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by Adi Dvir. Its founding purpose is to raise awareness, shift and direct the attention of professional therapists and educators towards mindfulness.

The mindfulness domain offers a wide array of tools that can be used to address many of the critical problems of the individuals of the Israeli society, which manifest in the society at large as physical and verbal violence, rage, panic attacks, depression, etc.

To the Israeli society, which partakes of the geo-political middle-eastern climate, mindfulness methodologies offer research-proven solutions, based on long and established track-records and academic research around the globe. These therapeutic solutions aim to achieve stress-reduction, as well as emotional and psychological well-being.

The mindfulness toolset allows the individual to achieve the regulation of their emotions, leading to well-being.

There is scientific proof to demonstrate that a youth’s well-being is conducive to stress-reduction, alleviation of psychotic symptoms and that it promotes their emotional and physical well-being and thus directly enhances their quality of life.

When the youth is calmer, their challenges and reactions become less violent, their relation to their surrounding environment is experienced as less threatening and their communication improves.

It becomes easier for them to express their needs/wants just because they know what they feel, want and need. As a result, their environment feels less threatened, and its reactions change accordingly.

The results of this practice are evident in the decrease of violent occurrences in the school environment.
